The "OKAW Baseball League" was formed to provide players with a field of Competition where they can learn the Fundamentals of Baseball and SPORTSMANSHIP. As Representatives of the OKAW Baseball League, it is our responsibility to uphold these values. We must remember it is all for the PLAYERS and for FUN.
PLAYERS
It is the responsibility of every player to work hard at improving, attend practices and games regularly, and cooperates with teammates and coaches. Players will not degrade or use profane language at any player, coach, or umpire. Remember - You represent your team, league, community and especially yourself.
COACHES
Coaches will conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times. The consideration of the players will come first. Coaches will not degrade or use profane language at any player, umpire, or another coach or spectator. Coaches will conduct themselves in a manner that inspires the players to lvoe the game and have fun. Coaches should also inspire a desire to win, while teaching them SPORTSMANSHIP. It is the responsibility of the coaches to monitor the conduct of the players as well as the spectators. Coaches should teach players and spectators to respect the officials by setting a good example. Remember - You represent your team, league, and especially yourself.
UMPIRES
Umpires will conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times. The consideration of the players will come first. Umpires will not degrade or use profane language at any player, coach, or spectator. It is the responsibility of the umpire to know the rules of the game he/she is calling.
SPECTATORS
Spectators will conduct themselves in a respectful manner at all times. The consideration of the players will come first. Spectators will not degrade or use profane language at any player, coach, umpire or another spectator. It is the responsibility of the spectators to monitor the conduct of the other spectators as well. Spectators should teach players to respect the officials by setting a good example. Remember - you represent your team, league, community and especially yourself.
ALL
THERE WILL BE:
* NO TOBACO use on the playing field or dugouts while players are present
*NO ABUSIVE or DEGRADING BEHAVIOR
* NO FIGHTING before, during, or after any game or practice
* NO THREATENING Umpires, Coaches, Players, or Spectators with bodily harm
* NO BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES |
The "OKAW Baseball League" Board will review any violation of the Code of Conduct, and disciplinary action may be taken
